Completely renovated house in Prêles

Customer request

During a total renovation of the house, the customer wanted to integrate the lights, heating and blinds into a home automation system. They wanted a simple and scalable system. During the construction phase, the customer wanted very basic function with the possibility to evolve later on.

Realisation

Home automation centre

In order to guarantee the necessary power for the connection of more than 50 modules in the two flats, we installed a FIBARO Home Center 3. A central unit positioned in the centre of the house allows the direct management of the two flats. Each inhabitant is then given the necessary rights to manage his flat.

Lighting management

All the lights in the two flats were connected to FIBARO and Heltun modules were placed behind each switch. This has the advantage that it is very easy to change which switch controls which lamp without having to rewire. Presence detectors have been placed in some corridors and outside the house in order to switch on lights automatically when people pass by.

Outside the house, several lamps were installed and equipped with FIBARO modules. Motion detectors were also installed in several places. The advantage of not having the sensors directly linked to the lamps is that the desired connections can be programmed. For example, several lamps can be switched on with one sensor or one lamp with several sensors and this can be easily changed at any time.

Heating

Heatit control units were installed on each group of underfloor heating valves. Heatit thermostats were also placed in various rooms in the two flats. This makes it possible to set the desired temperature in each room or part of the house directly on the thermostat on the wall or directly through the mobile application. The thermostats also have an integrated humidity sensor.
